Looking for some advice from anyone that has traveled to Iceland in the winter months. I am looking to drive the ring road and possibly do some camping if that is a possibility. The focus of the trip is photography and I am going this time of year for a chance to capture the Northern Lights.
My questions for you guys:
- How dangerous is camping in Iceland in December, is it worth the risks? (I have a fair amount of camping experience.)
- Any tips for driving the ring road? I heard the weather changes in minutes. I'm from Canada and have experienced terrible driving conditions for many years.
- Any photographers that have been, where were your favourite spots to take pics?
Any other advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks y'all.
