Thinking about getting a pair of daymakers anyone have any feedback on them pros/cons etc.

Cons are they’re super heavy and it’s gonna be slow to transition. Pros are you can use them with existing gear.

As far as a transition are meaning your strides are going to be a lot slower.

Do you have daymakers or just speculating? Takes two days to get used to them, and the weight isn't bad at all.

My buddy has them and bitches about the weight. We were faster just bootpacking than he was skinning.

Just got a pair, haven't tried em yet, they seem like the bomb tho.
No idea what you're mate is doing being slower than you bootpacking though...
Safer going downhill than tech bindings (no locked toe), better foot to ski distance than frame bindings... use your favourite bindings going down!
Not used mine yet, not going to be using them for mega treks but they seem like an ace choice in all honesty

used mine about 10 times now and I think they're. great no problem keeping up with those with frame bindings

Whoever said they boot pack faster your friend is either super weak or it was his first time skinning

To be fair they’re on the old bents which are like a 2500g ski
