Hi Guys,
At the end of the summer I copped a pair of Wells Lamont HydraHide mitts off Amazon, about £35 shipped to the UK, an absolutely cracking deal on an incredible pair of mitts. They're super comfy and hella warm.
However, after my first usage in a local snowdome one of the finger tips on the inside liner had a hole in it, this was after about an hours use, maybe even less. A friend of mine liked my gloves and the price and also ordered a pair (he did this before I had or mentioned the quality issue) he had exactly the same issue very quickly after getting his pair too.
Wells Lamont's motto is "Stubborn about quality" whilst the quality in of itself is sick, seeing the same issues on two sets of gloves goes against this quite heavily. Before this post I had messaged @wellslamontsnow on instagram (screenshots below) asking if there was the possibility of a refund or if they knew of an easy fix to the problem, I was ignored and left on read, I followed it up after my friend had the same issue. Still nothing.
I think it's a real shame that an awesome company, moving into specifically creating ski related products with a stacked team of riders, are neither "stubborn about quality" or even willing to provide any sort of customer service.
Has anyone else had this kind of issue? Or are any representatives for Wells Lamont on NS to provide a genuine response? Ski trips are drawing near and whilst I don't think this flaw is going to be a massive issue I'm still concerned about the cold and general performance of the gloves following this. It's also very irritating.
I know this is a bit of a rant and not normally my style, but I loved these gloves when they arrived and hope this can be resolved as I was so stoked on them. My main frustration is being blatantly ignored. Customer service from other ski brands I've purchased from like ON3P has been incredible and this is a real disappointment.
TL:DR
Wells Lamont glove quality issues for me and my friend.
No customer service to speak of.
Annoyed and searching for a solution.
