Decent amount of snow in the alpine though apparently the alpine inversion persisting for the last 4 days and no snow recently has taken a toll. Trending toward a cooler pattern with modest accumulation expected to start Wed night and they were expected to open on Thurs but looks like they are holding off... Always astonishes me the BC resorts are in such a rush to open on minimum snow base in November which is a notoriously fickle and usual terrible month for ski conditions in BC... yet close early April on a 3 meter snow base.
I can't believe Whistler is still intending to open with a 25cm alpine base; they must be banking heavily on the forecast
