Renting cars

Curious about renting cars since ive never done it, whats the best place to rent from? Im looking to rent for 4 days im 21 years old so can i rent or do i need to be 25? And i just got a reckless driving and an open container so will the check my tickets or can i kind of sweep that under the rug?

Honestly I would look into Zipcar... Its reasonably priced and you don't have to be 25... The driving record check is also pretty light.

I dont think any of the big chains check your driving record. But, being under 25 may kill that dream for you.
I have rented many cars and Enterprise has been the best chain I have rented from. Every other place quotes one prices and charges another. Super annoying.
Also, check your insurance and see if it covers rental cars or not.
As states above, zipcar may be your best bet.

Also make sure you have a credit card. They only take credit cards because they get your money right away. With a debit card they would only get your money when you return the car. There have been instances where people paid with debit and never came back so the rental company never got the money.

You can rent from most of the major chains under 25, but there's normally an extra fee (which normally isn't that bad honestly). However, most places won't let you rent an SUV or something along those lines.

If you can rent from National, you can pick any car you want on the lot which is pretty cool (except for the "executive" section). I also think Budget will let you rent SUV's. Just make sure you have an actual credit card and don't let them talk you into extra insurance if you're staying in the country, most US insurance companies will also insure you if you rent a car.

Book the cheapest shit box you can from Enterprise. When you are at the counter initialing and signing, make sure you put your best Steve Harvey shine on to the person. They will be so hyped on you that they will just upgrade you to like a Ford Mustang or something sexy like that. Maybe a Escalade.
