Are they to western resorts as the Asian invasion or rude NYC assholes are to East coast places?
How do you know they're from Texas? Or is Texan just analogous to your standard Jerry variety in the west?
Please do tell.

J_SDont worry, I'm an insider and I'm here to lay down the facts. Speaking on behalf of the houston area.
-There's hardly any outdoor activities to do in Texas, unless you live in Austin or something like that. All there is to do is go out to eat at the same restaurants or go watch a movie. People are used to spending money for anything exciting.
-A lot of people just have a cookie cutter family.. Usually something like, Mom and dad graduated from A&M, they work at some big company downtown, and they can't picture living anywhere else.
-Skiing vacations are pretty much a given for anyone who can afford it... Every winter Texans must gather their limited winter gear and make the pilgrimage to colorado. Most people have been going every year since they were little, giving them the belief that they know what they're doing. There was a point where I never even fathomed that some people just lived in snowy places and skied at big resorts year round.
I've never heard of anyone skiing in jeans. Pretty much everyone goes to breckenridge and they make sure they have EVERYTHING. If you live in the midwest and see jeans it's more than likely just someone nearby who's never skied.
Look for colorful coats, rental skis, gaper gaps, orange tinted goggles, and body turners.
When you get on the lift and the mom starts talking first, and she's super friendly, 9 times out of 10 will be a Texan.
TLDR: Texans have nothing fun to do in their home state so they take refuge in breckenridge. Sorry.

Peteza_RollzI don't know how those guys can ski in a 20-degree snowstorm in just cotton pantaloons and wool gloves. Just wanna give em some gore tex but it's probably against their rules or something.
