Replying to Anyone ever break their patella (knee cap)?

Unfortunately I fucked myself right before ski season and broke my patella (which is your knee cap if you didn't know) 5 weeks ago. As far as breaking it goes it was a best case scenario... I cracked it in half, not into pieces so I didn't need surgery. I got out of the leg brace i was in last week and my knee is feeling pretty good again now. Also my local ski area is about to open insanely early and I can't stop thinking about when I'm going to get to ski again. Basically wondering if anyone else has had a similar injury and how long it took them to get back to skiing, and then park skiing again.
