I bought a Sony a7ii and I’ve been using it for my non-profit that I started. Nothing with action shots or anything like that. I want to use it skiing this year, and mainly for photos. What should I know? Or what are some suggestions for settings? Any help is helpful! Thanks

assuming you're doing some editing in post, definitely shoot RAW for photos.
if you're serious about the videos you're making, its not a bad idea to look at getting SLOG and learning to grade. some people don't need it though, kinda a personal preference.
not sure what else you might want to know, kinda need more info on how serious you are and how much effort you want to put in?
a7ii has good potential

Get a plastic bag as a cover if your using it on a powder day. For the most part though, it's a fucking solid, reliable, and well-worth the money camera. It can take a bit of weather but try to keep the water off if possible. Get spare batteries too... LOADS of spares. Also, I'm used to shooting manual but if you're just starting out try using Shutter or Aperture priority. Your best time for pictures will come around sunrise or sunset if shooting nature shots in snow. Otherwise it just tends to be flat or blown out. Powder days, however, seem to be the exception since the snowfalls keeps your pictures dynamic. Hope that helps. Good luck and cheers homie
