What jacket should I buy?

Looking to get myself a new jacket for the hill this year, want something either gray or black and my budget is around 300$. I don't really want anything super baggy either.

I realize this is a super open ended thread but I haven't really liked anything I've seen online so far and figured I would consult the ns.

Check out the black Gore-Tex options on Evo. I know there are a couple volcom and burton black ones in that price range that are pretty solid andsimple. .

Also If I remember 686 has some goretex options in black and grey under $300

Virtika 3 layers are mad nice. Haven’t had one day where I got cold and they’ve got just about every single feature you could ask for. They’re not gore tex but have some pretty beefy waterproofing too. Check em fo sho

flylow makes somedope shit, check them out. Lots of colors but none are super bright. The brand is pretty low key

Dakine is also a good option. Got last years Wyeast jacket for cheap, and it’s still on sale. It has a more athletic fit, but not super slim.

There's a new black Strafe Nomad on TGR for $165. Size small, but generous cut, so runs big. 3L, eVent, hood, skirt, thumb hole cuffs, lots of features for that price. I've only had mine out a couple days so far, but love it so far.

Volcom and AK have great GoreTex jackets for around 300 or less.
