Replying to Swapping Intuition liners from different last boots

I have a pair of boots with a 101mm last with an Intuition liner than has packed out to the point of being too loose. I have another, new Intuition liner from a 97mm last boot that I was thinking about putting in the 101mm boot. Mondo is the same on both boots. Would this make sense to do if my intention is to snug-up the larger last boot? I don't know whether these lasts are produced specifically for the shell last they come in? If so, I'm thinking the 101mm boot would be too large for the 97mm boot last.
