JAHpowHaha I'm literally not arguing at all. OP said discuss so I posted one single time regarding the election that wasn't even directed at anyone. Then you bust in like the Kool-Aid man foaming at the mouth. I really don't know what your problem is and you clearly have anger issues. All you had to say was, "Well, actually I believe you're wrong there and here's why--". Instead you think back to your asshole 101 class and start from there.
You'll never win a debate nor change anybody's mind. Not because you don't post facts and stats, which I think is perfectly fine and you should do, but because you're a fucking. Lunatic.
Because you're parroting the false information that is plaguing the discourse in society right now. When people like you continually spit that kind of bullshit it has an effect. People stop thinking critically and independently and just rely on talking heads.
You're doing a disservice to everyone when you bring up points that are factually incorrect. I don't care if you support the GOP or Trump. I don't care if you support Hillary, Bernie, or Jill Fucking Stein.
What I do care about is the perpetual false narratives that get thrown around by the left and right because the uninformed will latch on to ones that fit the narrative they seek. You prove my point and come in, almost verbatim, with what all the right-wing pundits are saying and make it clear you have no idea what you're talking about. .
People on NS who may not follow politics for whatever reason, be it they're too young to vote or uninformed, will see the bullshit that you wrote and think hey, maybe he's right. They could get discouraged from voting because they feel like their vote may have no affect, they could become disenfranchised with the Democratic Party without being able to explain why (and this could easily be swapped out with the GOP if you parroted left-wing bullshit), or they could follow suit and spread the bullshit even further.
It's no longer harmless to post this shit in this day and age. Whether it's Twitter, Facebook, Fox, MSNBC, Newschoolers, TGR, or whatever other place you can encounter politics you run the risk of seeing and spreading disinformation. And it doesn't just come from politically-uninformed people like yourself, it comes from politicians, reporters, celebrities, hell even politically-informed people like myself. We all have the potential to do so.
When people post political information, it needs to be actually verified beyond the source they found it in. Don't just regurgitate it, actually dig into it.
I don't care that you think I'm an asshole. I couldn't care less as a matter of fact. It's fucking Newschoolers, it's a bunch of teenage and young adult skiers. I'm not even trying to change your mind. I can tell you're the kind of person who becomes entrenched in their viewpoint. I've seen your posts on here before with regards to politics and know it's a lost cause.
I care that you're doing a disservice to the Americans on Newschoolers who may not be politically informed. The problem with this country isn't left vs. right, it's that people are politically biased, or even worse, uninformed.
