Look claims that the Pivot has 20 mm of BSL adjustment, but in terms of actual adjustable range, I think it's less than that.

That said, I think you could get 5-6mm of adjustment out of them. If you tell the shop that you want to be able to adjust the bindings to a smaller or larger boot, they should be able to split the difference so you end up with a mount that's close to the line you want for both boots.

The new (plastic) Rossi jig pretty much centres the pivot in the middle of the range. You can get about a size in each direction.

Bought a pair of skis with FKS mounted on them. My BSL is 300mm (Hawx Ultra in 26.5) and they were mounted for a boot at 310mm. I thought I'd have to redrill but actually only had to work with the adjustment screws and they fit my BSL while still being in the appropriate forward pressure range.

Yeah, I got 15 mm out of mine easily. You should be fine.

Yep 320 will adjust to 326 or 315 no problem

Is there any reason I can't screw the BSL adjustment in all the way to where it stops? I'm moving to a smaller bsl boot and forward pressure seems to be correct only with the screws all the way at the smallest bsl (past the last hash marks). Really hoping to avoid a remount.

Dam...I had some fks mounted for 25.5 mindbenders (294mm)...ended up downsizing to 24/24.5 (284mm). I couldn't get my boots to fit even after screwing the adjustment legs all the way in. Forward pressure was all messed up, they'd snap in if I carefully finessed the heel piece. Holes were too close for a remount too so ended up mounting beater attacks. I guess could have went -1 tho and it may have worked

In my experience, that scenario seems to work fine as long as forward pressure is still adequate. The brakes shouldn't move when you lean forward into a nose press.

The opposite situation, where the arms are extended out past the third hash mark, can sometimes cause issues if the arms rub against the side of the boot. Anecdotally, it tends to be worse with boots that have a lot of rubber on the soles.

This is actually a good question. A good tech would center the adjustment arms and then mount for the BSL. That would give you equal adjustment potential either forward or back. So If I had a 325 bsl mounted in the center of the range, I should easily be able to adjust to either a 330 or 320 boot.

A lot of tech's just take the binding and mount if for the bsl and then dial it in without paying attention to where the arms are. I recently had a set mounted for 320 bsl that I also wanted to be able to use a 330 boot in. Got the skis back and he had them set up for 320 bsl with the arms way far forward, so there's no chance for a 330. Idiot.

Had another setup mounted at another shop - I explained the same instructions. This guy proceeded to tell me that what I was talking about was impossible because the "newer" 15's and 18's had way less range. I told him I thought the 14 15 and 18 heels were all the same, and was not aware of any "new" 15's or 18's that were different. After trying to explain this bullshit to me I was like you know what bro nevermind, just mount them for 320. Then he was suddenly like, ok well I'll mount them at 324 and you should be able to get a 330 to work. I was like yeah, that's what I just fucking said dude.
