Best Size 100mm ski bindings ?

Like to stay under 200$ and want a good realiable light binding that I well use in the park and we’ll be mounted on a 171 line blend

you can bend them, there was a time when we had to do this to all brakes on fat skis

They'll probably fit without touching them. I'm not sure how or where exactly brakes are measured but it doesn't seem very accurate. I have the 95mm brakes on 96mm wide skis with room to spare on either side.

As someone who used to be 115 lbs looking to learn skiing in the park, I'd recommend dishing out the extra dough and getting a pair of Look Pivot 14s(or just a beefier binding in general). Cheaper bindings have more plastic in them and buying a beefier binding means there is less plastic. As with any skiier who progresses your gonna wanna huck bigger and bigger tricks, and that cheap binding won't last.

You’re 115lbs you have no need for a 16 din binding. The sth13s would be a good option though and cheaper

The 95s will fit perfectly the 110s will have significant overhang on either side. The choice is yours as either will work.

You can use google, bing, duckduckgo etc to search newschoolers effectively. Search newschoolers.com binding recommendation

That said consensus around here is basically Tyrolia Attack series, also sold under Head, Fischer, and others or Look Pivots are the go to bindings. Looks are more than your budget generally but have a die hard group of fans here and elsewhere and I think most agree the Attacks are the value play in the binding market these days. Salomon Sth are also fairly well regarded as quality bindings.

As others have said in the thread and you should be listening, the Attack 95mm will easily fit on a 100mm ski without bending the brakes. The Attack 95mm brakes are about 100mm wide across the top of the brake and spread out even wider from there. A poster mentioned above his 101mm PB&J fit with the 95mm brake and I have the 95mm on a 104mm Sir Francis Bacon without bending. The 110 would be WAY too wide and have too much overhang and you might be catching the brakes.
I have the Attack 110mm brakes on a pair of 116mm Moment Bibbys and they didn’t need bending.

So get the Attack2 13 GW 95mm brake and seek out those who still have 2018 stock(same as 2019) and you’ll find lots of deals closer to the $150 US range(or less) I bet.

Call Corbetts.com to see if they have some extra 95mm brakes to swap out for the 85mm listed on their site. They have the 2018 Attack2 13 85mm listed for $149.99 Canadian($115 US) with free shipping. Worst case if they don’t, brakes are $30 US and just get those elsewhere.
Just got a pair for my Bibby’s there this weekend.

Lower DIN, not as robust heel piece and heel height much higher than the Attack 13 binding causing more forward lean. It’s geared towards lighter beginners and people just starting out. Not recommended.

Get the 2018 Attack2 13 and be done.

whew. all's well that ends well. this was a great choice


110s would have worked as well but i think most people agree that bending out a tiny bit (if you even have to; in this case i don't think you do) is better than having brakes that are too big as you can't easily fix overhang. up til about 10 years ago we had to bend out a ton of brakes for "fat" skis. i had 70s waist brakes bent out for 90s waist skis all the time and that wasn't even an issue
