fghtoffyrdmnsnah. I love my pivots because of how locked in i feel, but damn shit on them breaks all the fucking time it's whack.
cultraraLike what? I consider them one of the most durable bindings out there.
Rum_HamThe reason people say they are safer is because of the elasticity. You can run an 8 din when you would normally run a 9 and not be as likely to prerelease.
They are not safer for your knees in any other way, they do not allow lateral release at the heel
SofaKingSickno, youre not gonna find anything quantitative that "proves" this
what i will say is that they have a long track record (theyve been around forever now) of being great, durable bindings-- my current pair is 15 years old-- and people will commonly share anecdotal evidence that the bindings perform very well and don't pre-release often, which means in many people's minds that they are a good safe pick because they don't motivate you to jack up your DIN levels to try to avoid pre-releases
IsitWinterYet17They claim on their website longer elastic travel which helps to prevent pre-releases.
SofaKingSickWell okay, but "our large amount of elastic travel means less pre releasing" is a fair claim, while "our elastic travel means safer for your knees" is not....is always how I've interpreted the whole thing. Do you disagree?

Rum_HamLonger elastic travel allows for less prerelease which allows for a lower din which is safer for your knees
IsitWinterYet17No I agree with you on the knee issue. No evidence to support those anecdotal claims. The elastic travel and prerelease thing just saves you from getting fucked by hopefully decreasing the amount of prereleases.
