Replying to Moving to Utah (opinions...)

Moving from down under (Chile) this winter to Salt Lake City for work for at least 2 years.

Would appreciate some advice from the ski community from there around the following subjects (considering I'm a huge fun of skiing):

-Where should I live? I would like to live the nearest possible to any ski resort, I was said near Park City would be a nice Idea. What's the price of a dorm approx.
-Which season pass should I get?
-How's the nightlife in SLC or surrounding areas?

Any other tips are very welcome.
