Ice Cream or Regular Cake?

The only answer is ice cream. It isn't even a contest ya scrubs. Even if I was lactose intolerant, I'd take a whole bottle of lactaid and chow down on some ice cream cake over having to suffer through any other form of cake.

I mostly agree. If you make an ice cream cake it can be delicious, the store bought ones can be pretty good but the cake has a certain "who knows how long this has been in the freezer" cardboardyness to it. They do, however, strongly remind me of birthday parties as a child.

I haven't eaten ice cream since I became lactose intolerant . I'm not a huge cake fan buuut I Love a good cheese cake....Ely's in Chicago. Yum.

Good stuff thought I can’t eat cake often cause I go in heavy so I prefer banana bread plus like to keep things fresh with a nice flambé

For real tho I’ll eat any cake or ice cream or combo

I'm curious on several of your choices: What kind of shortcake isn't like 50% butter? and no whipped cream? do you go koolwhip? Also carrot cake sans cream cheese frosting? It might as well be a carrot muffin.

Sorry, I feel bad for those unwilling or unable to partake in the wonders that are dairy sometimes. Carry on.

Some parts of the dairy spectrum dont bother some people. I can have butter and cheese and some yogurts. Its Milk that will rip up my digestive system.

Butter seems to be alright especially if it has gone through the oven and im not eating it raw. I usually just take the whipped cream of the top and eat the rest of the cake. Cream cheese icing makes me a feel a little shitty but I deal with it. Not the same thing as drinking milk I guess I should have specified the degree of my intolerance. Like the amount of cream cheese per slice of cake is so small it doesn't bother me too much.
