Traveling to West Coast

I’m an East Coast guy traveling to Jackson this winter. I have EC ski’s (Kendo’s) was wondering what best option is.

Do I demo a pair from home or should I demo out there and should I trust demo bindings on Corbett’s and shit?

Also anyone knows of any reputable shops out there let me know.

Highly recommend demoing some actual all-mountain skis. Especially at Jackson, you want something which is going to be able to handle the terrain. Any ski is fun... but a really good ski for all-mountain is radically better.

Will need a local to speak to which shop, but I demoed the last time I was in Jackson and it was awesome.

Demo out here. All the shops have something that will work. And why fly with rental skis when you could just grab them once you get here. Or, if you come to the Idaho side, come raid my garage. Always happy to help somebody out by lending out some skis, and I've got a packed garage.

Very generous! Traveling with a crew of 40 year old men. Would love to do a day in Targhee. Will let you know

Maybe your kendo's but probably something fatter under foot. It really depends on how much snow there is. If it doesn't cost you anything extra (southwest) I'd bring my 90 mm underfoot skis and then rent if there is actually fresh snow. If you demo at the base you might even be able to switch skis and try a couple different ones.

What you're looking for is something which is 105+ underfoot. If it snows, then 110+ is where you want to be.

I was a massive fan of the Line Magnum Opus, though those are on the fatter side. I mean what is a great opportunity is demoing a couple of different types. When I was there, I was at Powder Week so I got to try all kinds of different "all mountain" skis... which was really awesome.

Just realized we will be in Jackson on Super Bowl weekend. Hoping less crowds. Anyway we will have half of Wednesday and all day Thursday before the crowds hit
