So I have an opportunity to go to Big Sky either December 15-21, or January 1-7. Snow is unpredictable, but is there usually much terrain open at that time? Are crowds that bad in Big Sky around New Years? Any advice for skiing the mountain that time of year?

usually by then just about the whole mountain is up and running, january would probably have a bit more coverage but it would be busy for you because you would be there on new years. but its never really that crowed at big sky, you can almost always find a part of the mountain where there isn't many people.

probably better snow/more terrain in jan and there should be less crowds although I don’t have a lot of experience at bs so I’m not 100% sure
All times are Eastern (-5)
