I think that really depends on ur level because there’s a loose order of skills you need to have to progress, but personally consistency and comfort is more important than a variety of sketchy tricks.
Id rather only have the fundamentals like skiing switch easily and knowing how to pop off different parts of your ski over technically wacky and uncontrolled tricks.

Lean the basics before hitting features. See to many kids that have tricks but cant land em because they don't know how to set and edge or actually ski down a hill. Could be an East Coast thing.....For example my friend was doing Flat/Rodeo 5's off 50 foot jumps before her knew how to ride switch. Use to just land and look uphill until he either caught an edge and died or reverted quick.

I agree but I also think the instant revert needs to return to popularity :D

All skiers should actually know how to ski. Like, use their edges and get down varied terrain in a variety of conditions without looking like an idiot. Doing crazy tricks is great and requires a lot of skill, but if you can't actually ski you might as well just use a tramp.

Using a chairlift should be priority. I guess some people have such a hard time sitting down.

I only expect people to ride terrain of their skill level. If you are a beginner/1st timer: dont go into the park and try to "ride everything" in sight. Or go on a cliffy run if you cant turn... Seen it so many time in Revelstoke.

Wow I'm really disappointed in these responses guys... your question is actually worded incorrectly, it should be "What ski TRICK should every skier be able to do?". And the answer to that question, dmvhonkey, is the Lip on Blind 2. Because it is the only trick. Nothing else matters. Fundamentals mean nothing the lip on blind 2 IS the fundamental, and once you learn it the world is your oyster.

totally depends on your level of expertise, honestly there aren't even any tricks that apply to every skier. Because you said tricks I'm gonna assume you're looking for basic park tricks, so I'd say be able to hit small jumps without even doing any tricks, be able to slide small boxes, maybe rails... like I said it totally depends on the person and the park really.
