Yea u should be good, they asked me to get it signed by parent and my dad actually signed it. But they wouldn’t know if u just forged it. Might be different cuz my dad also had a pass.

I'm almost 100% sure they make you verify your age, or the resorts that you trade in for a lift ticket will too.

I would be careful doing this. If you get caught they might refuse to sell you a pass. I really don't know what they would do, but if they DID do that is this worth it to save a few dollars? If things go wrong it might be a much bigger hassle than it is worth. Or maybe they will just make you pay the extra money, which would not be a big deal, I really don't know. I'm just saying that the consequences might be much worse than you might think, and it really might not be worth it to save money. If they were to ban you from buying the Ikon pass for 5 years would you really want to take the risk? Back when there were lots of different pass options this was less of a big deal, if you got banned from Squaw for a few years you could just go to Alpine, but with 2 groups increasingly owning everything it becomes a bigger risk. If you were to get blackballed by Ikon that would REALLY suck if you live in California.

I don't mean to scare you, just realize there might be consequences to what you are doing. It might not be worth it. For the record I really don't know what they would do if they caught you, just think it through.

Squaw has started to crack down on stuff like this, to the point where if you apply for the college pass they require you sign into your college's website and pull up your school schedule with one of the pass employees. Photoshopping school schedules doesn't fly anymore.

If they catch you with stuff like this you can get pretty screwed over.

Back when I lived in Tahoe one of my buddies got busted for a fake pass. He had an Alpine pass and bought a fake Squaw pass from someone who was making them. This was a long time ago, back in 2002. He got caught, and they were going to press felony fraud charges against him. He probably would have been able to plead it down, but still he was sketched. Then when he went in to see the DA it all got knocked down to a slap on the wrist. What he told me, and remember this is hearsay, I don't know it for a fact, was that the kid who was making the passes was the son of a guy who owned a large winery. In California there was (supposedly) a law on the books that said you can't run a winery if you have a felony on your record. I guess the guy's dad wanted his son to eventually run the winery, so he basically paid Squaw off so that they would effectively drop the charges against the kid making the passes. Once this happened they didn't really care about going after my buddy too seriously. He paid a fine and he was allowed to buy a pass the next year. I don't know about the veracity of the story, like I said it is just what my buddy told me, but they don't screw around with stuff like this, and they COULD really fuck you.

i get a peak pass every year and its 200$ cheaper if your 18 and i am 17 so my mom signed off on a sheet saying i was 18 and they didnt do anything
