Best bibs

I was wondering if you can help, I am looking for advice on the best ski bibs. I have a Burton AK Hover 3L jacket and am wanting bib pants but all I can find is snowboard style which I find I destroy at the ankles as they have zips and no extra material for the odd ski edge.

I am wanting top top of the line to keep me super dry and warm. If a shell what is best to wear under on cold days.

just picked up a pair of the north face freedom bibs. Haven't used them yet but are comfortable and feel like they'll stay pretty warm.

Armada Basin 3L Gore-tex Pro bibs are my pick. The cuffs are super reinforced and the Gore Pro has never let any water soak in even after 2 years of use. Plus the fit is stellar and not too fitted like some other brands Gore Pro offerings.

I have Dakine stoker bibs. The fit/features are the best I've ever had, but the cuff guard isn't super burly. Trew, Flylow, and Strafe make a durable 3l bib that's very waterproof, I bet you'd be happy with any of those. Patagonia Powslayer bibs are some of the best out too, if you don't mind forking up the cash.

Looks like somebody doesn't know what Gore-Tex Pro is worth haha

Look at any other brand with it, 450-550 is standard.

Maybe suggested retail but unless you are super rich it's not smart to actually pay that much for pants. It's pretty easy to find 20 or 30 k stuff made of top materials for under $150.

Well suggested retail is what I was talking about, duh you can find cheaper options. Worth is subjective, but my point being that Gore-Tex Pro is the top level as far as that worth goes.

You don't need Gore-Tex if you live in Colorado or Utah.

That’s just not true. I’ve had my saga 3l bibs soaked through a few times. It sucks ass not having gor-tex

Don't get me wrong there are some days that i wish i had goretex but 99.9% of the time i don't think its necessary.

Yeah that .1% is worth it to me haha. Soaking through on a good day is not fun.

Just picked myself up some north face brigandine bibs, gotta say they’re some of the best ones I’ve found, I really like the no hardware suspenders because bibs suck to wear with backpacks if they have plastic on the suspenders.

flylow stuff is super durable but not waterproof, my bins last years soaked through multiple times.

Trew stuff looks really good but no real world experience.

the dakine stoker is another killer bib, but I thought the cuff could be more reinforced, which is why I chose to go the north face.
