CaseyOnly cost you 1200 bucks to hit that 😂😉
I mean it's on the ikon. If you'd rather not come don't. Don't see the need to hate on it. Was a good day, park was vibing.
Been a tough start for the PNW, just telling people there's a park open if they want to come hit it.
Idk I get it, skiing is corporate and expensive these days or whatever. But Idk, I guess I'm just over all the negativity bleeding into positive things.
We also aren't selling day tickets this weekend. Just a "He, this fall has been shit, but we got open finally, come ride" vibe.
I get it, but I feel like saving the "skiing costs a million dollars" for a post about the new $27 dollar hamburger with no fries or even bun type posts would make sense.
I'm sure you're just fucking around, this was just more in general. We spent a day working some voodoo magic pushing the hill to be good for today. Some guy skied up to my cat, in front of it almost, big no no anyway, but dude instantly complains out of nowhere that it was too icy or something. If he was a paying costumer he wouldn't be happy. Like dude we don't even open for 2 days, fuck off. We weren't even tilling, just tilled a bunch testing out tillers out and people had something nice to ski. Dude also was asking if it was groomed all the way to the bottom, I was like idk man, it was earlier so probably. "Can you check?" No dude, fuck off I need to go push more snow so we can open.
Idk, I've worked every day since monday, worked semi late last night getting the park together. Came in today just to make sure everything went smooth and help the guys clean the snow out. And coming back in on grave to help get the mtn more dialed for the big day of tomorrow.
Just annoying when everybody is killing it to get things riding good and everyone complains. Mostly talking about insta and people like that dude the other day. But it's kinda whack. I get it, it didn't snow 25 feet, I'm not in charge of the weather. The people riding today were stoked. The people complaining on socials prolly weren't going to come out anyway.
Anyway I gotta go to bed so I can go push some more snow all night. Not trying to bitchy, just legit get's frustrating. We weren't even going to have a park for a few weeks probably. I talked to management and made sure they knew how important it was to get features in. And it was pretty difficult with the thin coverage to set a park and get it groomed out.
Sure I care too much about this probably but that's why I'm still doing this job. We put some seriously love into the rail fleet this year too.
You don't do it for thanks, but sometimes the constant complaints especially on a low snow start rub you the wrong way.
/wall oh text.
Maybe I'll see you in the park, maybe I won't. It will be there either way,
