Anything you know about Kitzbühel

Lucked out (good kind) and the family wants to ski over winter break, they chose Kitzbühel which I know nothing about. Planning on taking my Kartel 108s and am trying to do as much all mountain, freeride, skiing as possible. Lmk anything u know about the place. Thanks

I've only been for a day, but there is some really good tree skiing if you hit it lucky with the conditions. I headed over there when the weather was bad at higher altitude and had a blast. I've heard that the higher terrain has some really fun open bowls but I couldn't see shit outside of the trees the day I was there. I'm pretty sure some of the fun stuff I was skiing was off the side of the trails on the Hahnenkamm and Kitzbuhl Horn but I'm not even 100% sure on that. One potential issue is that the whole resort is pretty low, so it can be warm/rain... so basically I hope you get lucky on that. It was a super quiet day that day but I've heard things can get tracked pretty fast too.

There's also a ton of other resorts nearby, all easily accessible on the train so there are options for you there. Fieberbrunn (FWT stop) is super close and you could easily take a day trip to Kitzsteinhorn (which is high/glacier, if conditions aren't ideal down low. You won't get bored, that's for sure. Hopefully someone can weigh in with better detail since a day trip doesn't give me the best insight, but enjoy!

Head over to the Mittersill side if it's rammed, some really nice terrain that's easy to get into, it tends to be a fair bit quieter and the parks decent..

DUDE Kitzbuhel is my favorite mountain I've ever been to. Snowed a shit ton while I was there and had the best week of my life. Here's a few clips from my trip.
