Replying to Get "Rich" Quick-er Jobs

Hey NS it's been a long time and I come to you for wisdom. The way my schooling is playing out I might be leaving college until next fall after this semester ends and I'm trying to think of ways to make the most of it. I'm thinking this break would be a great chance to get some money in the bank and I'm looking to maximize profits and/or gain worthwhile experience. Any insight into jobs you had, wish you had taken or have heard about would be much appreciated and I'm sure would benefit other fellow newschoolers looking to make a dollar. I'm willing to forego comforts and go anywhere for the next six months if it means better pay. A few jobs I have heard about so far are working on oil rigs, selling products like security systems or pest control and fishing boats in AK but I haven't personally talked to anyone that confirms whether they are decent gigs.

TLDR what are some decent jobs to make more than minimum wage? If any of you are rich or stumbled across gold how did you do it?
Disclaimer: I understand money typically doesn't just come to you and effort and hard work are required. That being said, if I'm going to work hard I might as well get the most out of it right....
