Favorite way to access terrain

Tell me NS, what is your favorite way to get your skiing fix and why.
Is it by chairlift, Ski touring, snowmobile, CAT, Helicopter... or the bootpack?

For me, nothing beats a ski tour up the mountains. There is a deep sense of accomplishment when I hike to the top of a line, take in the view and ride a location few people have been to due to the effort required to get there.

nothing like the the sound of falling snow when its nuking in the late afternoon and youre pretty beat but havent called it a day yet because it keeps getting better and better

depends on the objective.

Sledding is fucking rad cuz you can get to sick terrain quickly and it really opens up whats possibly in the backcountry

Nothing quite like touring, its calm and peaceful...but i wont lie i really am not a fan of like 5 miles approaches

That's a surface lift. First option. Lifts are the best for a ton of laps. Touring, CATs, and booting is good for getting some bonus terrain though. Boot tracks are a great way to get away from the crowds since so many people are so lazy.

I've boot packed without skins, awful, I love lifts both for being able to ride them and throwing sick airs under them. Probably one of my favorite days at snowbird was at Wilbur on a 2 foot pow day late april. Wilbur is a small lower mountain double but no one wanted to wait the hour and a half for the tram that day. Wilbur also has 3 big cattrack hits. There were about 30 good skiers there that morning all going for it off the cat tracks and everyone was loving it. 3s, even one guy through a huge 50 foot front flip to crater landing, hero of the day. That's why I love lifts, also I dont have the money for helis or snowmobiles

There's no feeling like that of being back on a chairlift after a deep as fuck untouched run on a powder day, just ready to go back up and do it all over again.

Had to laugh at the I only ski urban option, but I'm sure there's a crazy guy out there that fits that description.


Only got up the mountain by chairlift, hopefully I'll be able to hike some nice terrain this season

I usually enjoy driving to the ski resort via an automobile and taking the mechanically operated chairlifts to access the in-bound terrain.
