FULL TILT BOOTS A TOUCH TOO TIGHT. TIPS?

Have a pair of full tilt first chair 8's that are just a drop too tight in the toes. Next size up is too big.

Anyone have any dope tips for Full Tilts to expand the toe box? Thanks!

1. Do you have supportive footbeds?
2. Did you get them heat molded?

Answering no to either or both of these questions tells you where to start.

Custom footbeds are expensive but completely worth it. Will make your boots so much more comfortable.

Will they potentially add room in the toebox? I have the intuition liners already.

Yes. A footbed will position your foot properly in the boot, holding your foot back away from the front. When you get this, you will need to have your liners remolded again to this new position, and make sure to wear a thick toe cap in order to create more space if you need to.

If that doesn't work a pro bootfitter can pretty much add whatever room you need to the shell. They can grind inside or use heat to punch it out.

Can the Intuition liner expand accordingly? i.e. you can extend the shell but woudnt your foot be contained by how fair the liner goes?

I'm sure there is a limit but yes the liner is kinda stretchy.

Yes, it's easy to gain 5mm (half size of length) and the Intuition liner can be made to move into the stretch. BUT if you don't support the foot with a footbed, your foot will simply slide forward into the stretched zone and you'll still have the problem of toe bang.

Always get a footbed first and then make liner & shell modifications second.
