18/19 NHL Thread!!! didn't see another one
God tonight is just a nice friendly reminder of how crap the canucks are. At least Karlsson didn't sign.

DeebieSkeebieshttps://www.newschoolers.com/videos/watch/909439/Pierre-Dorion-on-being-optimistic---We-re-a-team-This is the most painful silence I have ever heard.
MLBMelina is just nuking his own franchise....just fucking brutal. Habs are on full rebuild mode, although getting rid of patches was a good move, not sure what we got for him is gonna work out in the long run. Doesn’t seem like Bergevin has a plan at all...and Geoff Molson is on auto pilot as long as his team keeps making money.
Toronto should smash everybody this year. I think with Tavares playing in his home town is really going to spark his love of hockey again. As much as I hate to say it...leafs are gonna do well this year and have no reason not to.
Flames are on really good footing with Neal on, and Mike Smith ready to giver. No reason they don’t do well this season either ( unless the new coach shits the bed...time will tell).
If the Oil doesn’t put numbers up in the first half of this season, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a big change in coaching staff. Although in my opinion they should fire Chiarelli. The oil desperately need some veteran depth to their team.
Honestly I’m crazy pumped for this season. So many massive changes, and just excited how it all pans out!

DingoSeanSo dirty but so stupid because they then went and lost that game 5-2
Sharks should do pretty well this year.
That said, Joe Thornton's knee swelled up so they IR'd him.
I say fuck it, and just shelf him until midseason so that he can hopefully be fresh for the playoffs... and also grow his fucking beard back. It looks so damn wrong right now.
I want the Sharks to win it this year so badly - even more than usual - just so that he can retire with his name on the damn cup. As I love me some Jumbo Joe, I want him to retire on top, holding the cup, and go home to his family before his body legit falls to pieces.
Also, the Sharks need to be able to afford to give Erik Karlsson all the money next year, so Jumbo's 5 million bucks off the books will absolutely allow that moving forward.
And with Pavelski becoming like 35 this year (how the hell did he get so old so fast?!) hopefully he takes a bit of a paycut in return for a 35+ contract.
bread_birdAfter adding Karlsson, I think the Sharks can only improve upon last year's performance. If I remember correctly, Thornton was out of the picture for much of the late season anyway?
I would feel confident putting my money on them taking the Pacific. Anaheim seems a little too dependent on Gibson, and I don't see Vegas being dominant again.
And yeah beardless Thornton is weird.
DingoSeanAlso, can I just go ahead and say fuck Vegas?
I hope they regress HARD. Like, I'd be stoked if they outright don't make the playoffs. Most of us have had to deal with way way too much heartbreak and frustration just to see some dingaling team somehow get their name on a cup that fast. Fuck, even Denver had to downright LOSE a team before the Avs came over from QBC to win it in their first year in Denver...
Lets give them at least 15 years of that before they win a cup, please? (thank god for Washington winning it, otherwise i'd have been livid)
Also, fuck Anaheim. I'm glad Corey Perry is out for 5 months, and that theyre now slower and worse than last season when we swept them like the bitches they are. Gibson non-withstanding, that team is patched together with duct tape.
Also fuck LA, just because fuck LA. I hope Kovalchuk goes back to playing like he doesn't give a shit, and they miss the playoffs again..
keithnollKnights are gonna wreck #vegasborn

gapersarefriendsVegas is exciting to watch but holy shit fuck the fact that they went (almost) right to the top, coming from a canucks fan. I fucking cannot stand the kings or ducks either.Piece of shit ignorant fan bases
keithnollAy love that guy. He not ours no more tho
bread_birdTo be honest, I wasn't really stoked on either team being in the final. The Vegas pregame theatrics made me want to put forks in my eyes, and I couldn't make myself root for Tom Wilson. I would have much rather watched a Jets-Lightning series.
Anaheim really showed their true colors in that first round. You could see the moment they gave up on winning and just started headhunting.
JAHpowHuh? Isn't he coming back in November?
keithnollOh shi I thought he was traded. Stuck in class and the game is starting smh
keithnollWho thinks they know what the knights are doing wrong rn?

DingoSeanTheyre playing in Vegas. That's what.
keithnollI was born and raised in Vegas and I ski better than you

MLBStraight up Vegas should of never dropped Neal....dumbest move they could of made. That guy is gonna be a gem in Calgary. Also moving Tatar to the Habs for Patches is hilarious as well. I feel like the only reason Vegas did well is because Fleury had a vendetta and needed to show that he is still a boss in the pipes. It just feels like he straight up dragged that team to the dance. I’m curious to see how he will do this year. Feels very similar to what Roy did for Colorado.
DingoSeanThat sucks. I'm sorry.
keithnollI’m sorry u ain’t get a world class climbing area a ski resort, 24hr food and in state tuition to UNR.
DeebieSkeebiesyo if the wings even attempt to tank this season, its not even guaranteed they'll land huges, maybe a 2nd to 4th rounder at best lol. Kinda interested to see if they'll overtake montreal, the rangers, and arizona for the historically worst season starts ever. I think its like 0-11
DingoSeanCould be worse. Could be the senators who won't even get 1st if they tank. Sakic was a genius for that Duchene trade..
DeebieSkeebiesDon't you mean Matt "I want to play playoff hockey" Duchene?
Ottawa already has a win or two at least so they've exceeded a lot of peoples expectations.
DingoSeanMatt Douche-anus gets to play for a caca team again.
VinnieFSo mature.
He's still a decent player. For 6 mill/year it's not too bad.
VinnieFJust want to point out that if Karlsson gets the 10-12 mill/year he'll be asking for next year, the Sharks salary for their D-men will be 700% higher than Ottawa's (top payed D is getting 1.2 million right now).
