Melina is just nuking his own franchise....just fucking brutal. Habs are on full rebuild mode, although getting rid of patches was a good move, not sure what we got for him is gonna work out in the long run. Doesn’t seem like Bergevin has a plan at all...and Geoff Molson is on auto pilot as long as his team keeps making money.
Toronto should smash everybody this year. I think with Tavares playing in his home town is really going to spark his love of hockey again. As much as I hate to say it...leafs are gonna do well this year and have no reason not to.
Flames are on really good footing with Neal on, and Mike Smith ready to giver. No reason they don’t do well this season either ( unless the new coach shits the bed...time will tell).
If the Oil doesn’t put numbers up in the first half of this season, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a big change in coaching staff. Although in my opinion they should fire Chiarelli. The oil desperately need some veteran depth to their team.

That photo of bergevin is ridiculous guy is like 4 ft wide. But definitely out to pasture i think. LOL at domi getting ejected for the rest of preseason too.
Tavares not being the go to guy anymore i think will take pressure off his shoulders but the toronto back end is just too soft in my opinion. I mean yeah Rielly is sick but Gardiner is pretty good, other than that im not too sure.

I say fuck it, and just shelf him until midseason so that he can hopefully be fresh for the playoffs... and also grow his fucking beard back. It looks so damn wrong right now.
I want the Sharks to win it this year so badly - even more than usual - just so that he can retire with his name on the damn cup. As I love me some Jumbo Joe, I want him to retire on top, holding the cup, and go home to his family before his body legit falls to pieces.
Also, the Sharks need to be able to afford to give Erik Karlsson all the money next year, so Jumbo's 5 million bucks off the books will absolutely allow that moving forward.
And with Pavelski becoming like 35 this year (how the hell did he get so old so fast?!) hopefully he takes a bit of a paycut in return for a 35+ contract.

Yes, Thornton was out from January 23rd of last season. Which super sucked, because by then he was playing as brilliantly as ever.
He Had surgery like, the next day or something, and was back skating by the time playoffs rolled around.. but he likely wasn't going to be really ready to actually play until the event that the sharks were playing in the finals... So he ended up being out like 9 months from playing a game, and on game 2 of the season, he left with swelling in his more recently repaired knee. super sucks.
But if Karlsson can mesh well and get over his apparent Ottawa homesickness, this team will be absolutely devastating on the powerplay.
Seriously, Karlsson and Brent Burns on the powerplay is probably the scariest thing ever for opposing PK units... add in a healthy Jumbo Joe, playing at his best, with Couture/Hertl or Pavelski/Kane on the wings, and oh my god.
Other teams better play disciplined, because if the Sharks play even close to their potential, that PP will borderline score at will.
I hope they regress HARD. Like, I'd be stoked if they outright don't make the playoffs. Most of us have had to deal with way way too much heartbreak and frustration just to see some dingaling team somehow get their name on a cup that fast. Fuck, even Denver had to downright LOSE a team before the Avs came over from QBC to win it in their first year in Denver...

I didn't mind Washington. They've been solid forever but keep sharking it up in the playoffs. I get that a lot of people dont like them because of ovechkin hype, but I dunno.. I kinda always liked them. They never seemed to be particularly dirty or offensive, and they just have rivalries with the whole eastern seaboard.
Vegas however, simply became everyone's 'team' because everyone hated the team they were playing against lol (unless its the Jets, I feel like nobody has hate for the jets - yet)
I cant wait till they start losing and their fanbase evaporates and jumps ship to the next-thing like a rainstorm in the mojave.
Anaheim was such a joke in that series against the sharks. They realized in game 1 when they were shut the shit out, that they were not going to be able to play with San Jose. They hung with SJ in game 2 because Gibson was standing on his head, but by game 3, they gave up the ship and just began trying to injure guys like the useless pukes they are.

Fleury didnt really do that. He was gone for a great amount of time when they were having success. We were all the way to our fourth string goalie. If u want me to tell u firsthand what happened last year, it all started after the oct 1 shooting. The whole city changed and game 1 was unreal. The vibe never left and we played amazing. This year there’s some pressure
