Where to ski in Switzerland

Going to ski in Switzerland by myself during Christmas, which mountain should I go? I live on the east coast so I really need something different. And are there lots of people during Christmas?

As someone who lives in switz, I'll tell ya this
Christmas is crowded, the parks aren't the best, spare laax and maybe Zermatt, if your not solely doing park I'd reccomend the 4 vallees because you have access to verbier (decent park) Nendaz (Meg,Meh park) ysonnaz, savoleyres and thyon(decent park)

I go to school near Geneva so I ski around the west side of ch a little bit. You'll find that a lot of mountains are really big, but nevertheless covered in pretty tame blue runs. Where I ski parks are mostly nonexistent. Try Verbier, or if you're willing to dip a little outside ch go to chamonix.

From the east coast as well. Davos was one of the best trips of my life. Parsenn is great skiing and Jakobshorn was the best apres ski in Europe (that wasn't a festival). There are cheap hostels in the town despite it being a fancy pants area. It's nice to have a selection of multiple mountains out of one ski town. 10/10 would bang.

If you don't already know, bring a full bank account because Switzerland is expensive AF.

Verbier without a doubt it's just next level and for only 450 francs if you're under 25 you get a season pass including the other resorts in the network (nendaz, veysonnaz, thyon)

Yep. I stayed in the hostel that's connected to the Hard Rock cafe. It was surprisingly cheap, but if you're going to book something I suggest you do it like last week. The christmas/NYE weeks book up pretty fast. Hostels are generally good for that time period, but if you want a hotel you're gonna be screwed by like October/November.

PS- Don't leave Europe without doing a downhill sled adventure. I did one at Wildkogel in Austria. You basically ride a single person sled for one down a trail, most of which is ski trails. It takes hours when you hop from lodge to lodge. It's fucking nuts.

Yeah Verbs is free-ride heaven.

Zermatt is absolutely stunning, the village must be beautiful during Christmas!

Either of those two you can't go wrong

Verbier is an awesome place to ski in Switzerland. The Freeride terrain is probably near the best in the world (inbounds) and they can have decent park as well if that’s what your after. It’s probably one of the more snow sure places around Christmas as well but can be a bit busy, good thing is though you will meet rad people there.

Mix up of good terrain and nice park + apres if you indulge hard to find but there some good places 😉
