Alta/Snowbird/Deer Valley or Jackson Hole/Big Sky in late November, or nothing at all?

Looks like I have the last week of November off. I live on the Front Range, and have never skied Utah or Wyoming/Montana. Was wondering if a road trip would be worth it, and if so, which states might be better for early snow. Or I just stay in Colorado. I'm wondering if in general shit is the same all over conditions wise in November.

If you're going to be roadtripping it wwhy not just wait to see where the snow is and do it last minute? It's not going to be difficult to get a hotel room/airbnb near a ski hill at that time of year.

Snow is pretty mediocre in November and thats not the time to go. However you can check out Cali resorts like Mammoth or Kirkwood, those resorts are your best bet.

If you're going to utah go to Brighton, last November they had top to bottom skiing when Alta/Bird were still closed.

Hell yeah it will be worth it!

Just wait for last minute reservations and send er! You just need to look at which places are open that week, with the options you have something will be open

Hadn't look into Brighton, looks like they get a lot of snow. Good idea.

Honestly, this. Brighton can be okay and maybe I'll be amazing somehow, but very unlikely and you'll get rocks bad snow and ice. Of course it is utah so you never know, but don't expect mid Feb in late Nov if you're booking now

I've had good skiing in late November once in my life and that was the 10/11 season when Alta got like 700". I was skiing knee deep blower on thanksgiving. So to answer your question it's possible but I wouldn't count on it.

Snow isn't great in November but if its your only chance take it, as long as its not as bad as last year it should be ok.
Better to wait till you know what its gonna be like though

Yea I have lived in SLC for 12 years now. It's been good in Nov like twice, and even then only for a lucky day or two.

Yeah, November in Colorado is the same. Was hoping maybe Utah was generally better. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.
