Winter ski job

so im living up at killington this year (and for the next three years) and need to get a job for the winter. not gonna lie, i havent had a job before in my life so i have very little experience unfortunately. so yeah, obviously many of you have worked in the ski industry and could maybe give me some insight into which job would be the best option to give me the most days possible to shred. thanks :)

(dont feel like going into detail about it but it has to be directly under killington)

I worked for Vail Resorts for a few seasons, it was not that cool. If you really want to focus on ripping as much as possible get a night job like janitor or something with supply chain or deliveries. I worked at some different restaurants, and although they gave me a free season pass I hardly ever got to use it due to working during the day. (There is nothing worse than riding up a ski lift to work on a pow day without skis on your feet.)

For real though there are many happily employed folks in the resort industry, just have to try your best to maintain the balance of work/play.

Dude we should def shred some time, I’m down at Big Boulder this year. As far as jobs go I was only an instructor but it was a super chill job and they might give you a couple brakes if you’re a great instructor

Never ever done any job?
Lifty. Easy to get, low pressure unless your totally fucking stupid, not a deal breaker to get a little high or drunk during a shift.
If you do it half way decent job, your boss will recommend you for other jobs in the industry. Build that resume.
Plus you learn how to deal with shitty work like shoveling during a snow storm and not being a useless ahole.
Work night shifts and ski during the day.

Rental/repair shop can be pretty chill. Most shops will give you a ride break or split shift. You also get to learn a lot about your equipment.

I’d also recommend moving around departments over the years. You start to pick up how these big resorts run, and you’ll meet a bunch of interesting people along the way.

Work at one of the restaurants in the area that open at like 3 or 4 like Baja Burrito, I know some of their workers ski for the most part of the day then head down to work in the evening and night
