Yeah I agree, I'm all for spraying my buddies when they eat shit, but to do that to a random person is kinda douchey. But at the same time they way the situation was handled wasn't right either. Like yeah, you probably have been skiing longer than him, i'm assuming the dude in the video was twice his age. If that kid would have just apologized and moved on nothing would have happened.... Why do we have to be so mean to each other? Both dudes are trying to enjoy a day of skiing. Doesn't matter whether you are there to rip groomers, moguls, steeps, trees or park, we are all just trying to have fun. Just apologize and move on. Jeez....

I constantly do this to snowboarders. But really that is way too dramatic for spraying someone, I have seen a lot of people do it and they never end up being chased like a criminal. And yeah, I agree the kid should have just apologized and not be a smart ass.

Spray him back or deal with it. I have no problem with confronting him but at that point just soak up the fact that maybe the guy is a douche and move on with your life. Even if it's a sad life gopro-ing your shitty blue runs and making dope edits for mom.

Clearly this was a Slow Zone. Don't spray folks that are not your friends. Don't ski like a speed demon in a slow zone.

The kid was hauling the mail to get to the park through a slow zone.

We all hate it when folks stop in the wrong places. I know I do. Yet it's going to happen, and if you hit them, it's you that will get sued because of the "always stay in control and be able to avoid".

The "Always stop in a place safe for others" or "Stop where you can be seen from above" "Never stop where you block a trail" etc. etc. won't matter one ounce. Even though they broke a rule of the code, it all goes back to rule No.1
Sad but true and I do hate that.

Clearly the dude was stopped where he could be seen as well in this case even though it may not have been all the way to the side.

My judgement is kid was a little butt head.

I need to remember to watch this with sound. But without sound it just looks like someone was standing there and got sprayed. That's how the game works. Skiers code and the Oregon skiers law say nothing about spraying someone with snow. In fact it seems perfectly reasonable to assume no accident or injury will result so there is no need to even stop to talk after you spray someone.

Maybe I'm an old grump, but the kid is clearly an asshat and could have done with having his pass suspended for a while. If that happened to me I certainly wouldn't just let it go. I wouldn't be a prick and call ski patrol though. Probably just follow him a few runs and spray him as many times as I could.

This is the proper course of action, although you could tell the kid was a better skier than the old guy there and would have just outrun him.

Both are at fault. As much as I want to say that the person behind the camera should have just moved on, the kid should've done the same thing. If the hill was full of people like these two, skiing would be miserable.

The tip of his right ski caught some metal fixture on the grass and he fell. Then the yellow jacket tried to tackle him though.
