The 450 shuffle is highly debated trick within the Freeskier community. Between its difficulty, strategy, and the features it is performed on, many freeskiers shy away from the issue when brought up in conversation. However, it’s origin is a hotbed topic that is objectively proveable.





The first 450 shuffle was invented in 2009 by Alfred Forfiftyshuffle. Alfred was competing in his hometown of Aspen, Colorado, at the highly renowned X-games. his discipline was superpipe. During his last run Alfred performed the worlds first future spin. He spun 1980 degrees and landed with such raw power that he caused an anomaly within all 4-dimensional space. Some theories, most notably special and general relativity, suggest that suitable geometries of spacetime or specific types of motion in space might allow time travel into the past and future if these geometries or motions were possible. Forfifftyshuffle’s execution caused him to be travel through time unscathed, yet also at a very high rate of speed. Alfred’s body traveled through the warp into the year 1980. The young 17-year old from Aspen landed his mighty spin in the exact same spot at lighting speed. His body produced its own atmosphere due to another physical anomaly that allowed him to travel faster than light.

He crashed through the ski lodge and caused a sonic boom. He was found by the fire department 10 minutes after his touchdown.




Forfiftyshuffle was promptly transported via helicopter to the nearest hospital. He was in a coma for 7 days, yet miraculously his only injuries were minor scrapes. He awoke handcuffed to a hospital cot. The nurses rehabilitated him while his legs recovered from atrophy. The nurses made very light conversation that only pertained to Forfiftyshuffle’s health. He gave them his name and no records of his existence were ever found. 2 days after his awakening he was transported to the Denver Police Department. Alfred was completely dumbfounded during his journey. He had no idea why everything seemed so vintage....so foreign.





“I’m telling you the last thing I remember is skiing at X-games!”





”I don’t know what the fuck X-games is! All I know is that you were found at the center of an explosion at 4 in the morning. You were the only person there. Kid, I highly suggest you tell me right now.”



Alfred crying: “Please! All I know is that my name is Alfred Forfiftyshuffle. I’m from Aspen Colorado. My parents are Elaine and Mark Forfiftyshuffle!”

Alfred’s investigation continued for a week before they determined that he was mentally ill and had caused a gas line explosion. He was then committed to mental hospital. The hospital was an inhospitable environment for Alfred. The hospital seemed worse than a prison to him. He was given shock therapy for weeks on end due to his perceived mental condition. He broke down daily, and would be given various drugs as a result. He was committed for several months until his escape on November 28th, 1980.











Alfred’s escape from the facility baffled the workers there. They found his room empty with no evidence.
