Boulder or UVM?

Im from NJ and UVM is my top choice right now but if i get into Boulder as well, it's going to be a tough choice for me. Which one do u guys prefer or think would better?
*Im choosing based on skiing, locations, etc.*

what type of skiing do you like to do? boulder will give you more access to backcountry/bigger mountains and steeps, and three world class parks in breck, copper and keystone. UVM also has park options and seems to be closer to the mountains so easier access.

i do park mainly. i feel like burlington is a great ski town so thats why UVM is my main choice. its also closer to home.

thats whats keeping me east. i dont wanna go through a change where ill only ski west lmao. btw love ur shit plz come out with more ski sessions this season

if you can move out west especially a place like Colorado then do it. east is lame

EH, depends on the school and how much you actually want to ski. I stayed east at a school surrounded by ski mountains, bought a college pass, and got in a ton of park days (and day tours) this winter. One of my buddies went out west to CSU and barely got to ski at all because its so far from the mountains and theres so much traffic. Then again I know guys who went to SLC and got to ski a ton at PC. I'm not the most knowledgable person about this by any means but I don't think skiing is all that close to Boulder, while at UVM both Stowe and Bush have sick parks and are under an hour away. So basically just really think it through logistically — sure, West = better skiing, but not necessarily more skiing. That's a very important distinction imo

Idk much about boulder but in a skiing sense, the west just blows the east out of the water. Burlington is awesome but it's not going to be the insanely different world of skiing you find in the west

That said, there's a lot more to life than skiiing. I stayed east for college and I was happy with it (though I did go west after that and wouldn't trade that move for the world). School and family are more important than skiing by a long shot

How u still making this decision ?? Also come to NC and ski plastic in summer and man made snow for 2 months in the winter. Great fun.

Burlington is an incredible town! If you're an East Coast skier stay true to your roots and come here. Bolton is only 35 minutes away with night skiing, then you have Sugarbush, Smuggs or Stowe under an hour from town. Outside of skiing the mountain biking, hiking and nightlife here are really something special.

Then again, don't Jersey Vermont...

Less likelihood of developing a crippling cocaine or xanax habit at UVM.

Does your buddy happen to be named Joe? Sounds a lot like a homie of mine from CSU who came out from Sunapee hahaha... anyways I go to CSU so it's very easy for me to say fuck CU and stay easy but honestly Boulder is a very good school and I70 sucks at first hut you just gotta learn when to get up and leave to ski in the morning! I say head west

Thanks G! I got hired by Mount Snow last year to shoot the videos so I had to keep em more PG! head over to the Carinthia Parks youtube to check em out! Catch ya around!

well, what has a better education for you? I was between the two also then just said fuck it and went with umass amherst because it has a good education, cheaper than both, and an hour away from mount snow
