I love that kids don't realize how ridiculous it looks when they do this at places like Jackson Hole, big sky, ect. Do whatever is fun I guess, but you look like a baby giraffe learning how to walk when you ski without poles.

I ski without poles because I almost lost my teeth to one, also it's easier to learn stuff without them.

This is my take on the pole or no pole debate. When I'm getting on the chair and the dude with no poles is trying to murder my skis and boots as he waddles in the line or up to chair makes me want to murder him, then I got to ride up with him and he acts like everything is chill. I know I'm a granpa.

this is the only time i have an opinion on no poles. you guys look like fuckin beginners in the lift line haha

oh and that goofy ass skate you guys do to pick up speed in soft snow when a normal rider would just pole push a couple times

Honestly for me I enjoy no poles just to be able to freely use my hands for balance and being able to do hand drags. Skiing just feels way more surfy that way. If I'm skiing something where falling means death/serious injury, then I will use poles. Otherwise its just soul surfing.... maaaan

I ride with no poles because I'll only buy the cheapest poles I can find and they break within a week.
