about to pre order some bananas.

The mount point on the bananas is -5, right?

I have my ghost trains at -3.5 (rec is -4.5) and i really like the way they ride.

So i was also thinking about mounting the bananas at -3.5 rather than the recommended -5. is this going to cause problems with sidecut or anything? will they ride like crap if i do that?

Judging by the 35m turn radius it doesnt seem like it would change much. theres literally no info about the bananas and havent heard anyone riding them. Blister just posted flash review on them but im not about to pay 50$.

hoping tcurle or hot pocket could provide some insight about mount point and the way they ride. Seems like the bananas are loose but chargy soft snow slayers.

I only have a handful of days on my Bananas so far, but I went +1 from rec (-4 from centre) and that feels money. I was tempted to push it even further forward, but my worry was being off the natural balance point of the reverse camber and ending up with more tail rocker than nose.

Loving the ski so far. Stiff and chargy, but still super quick edge to edge and initiates a drift on a dime. I also heavily detuned from tip to tail.

Should ride just fine at -3.5 or -4. While I have my Banana's on the line, I do have my Meridian Tours mounted at -3 (+2 from rec) due to hole conflicts and they ski like a dream. Meridian Tour and the Banana share a lot of design characteristics so if you want a tad more freestyle influence in the ski performance I'd consider moving the mount up a touch.

Tyler is on a pair of 21/22 108 Commander 188's, which is unchanged from this season. He still mounts +2cm from rec, which lands at -8cm from center on 20/21.

I heard his conversation on a podcast about using ski blades to tour and I totally agree. This begs the questions will Moment make the blades in a touring layup? Blading to tour would be especially useful in the spring/early summer big days. The real question is will you use Aliens Cy?

A Wildcat Tour Blade is like my dream touring ski at this point.

I've exclusively been on blades for any long days since early December, I'm completely sold, just need to get a lighter pair made, with some slight design changes. Skied two pretty big lines in GTNP on Sunday and really needed a little camber underfoot.

And yeah, I'd ski 'em with an Alien 3.0 if I could afford a $2500 boot. Instead I'm rocking the F1 LT for now.

Commander 118 mounted +1.5cm rips and is a awesome freeride ski.

Eats chop, feels great in the air for tricks and stomps everything. I really love it, please don’t change it!

Wish the 108 was a slimmed down 118 exactly, but I bet it feels close. Missed my chance for a pair this season, so they’re first on my list for next year.

I have no issue with the ski in tight terrain, especially mounted forward they are easy to pivot and slarve.

However I ski race plugs and am used to large skis so YMMV.

Yuuup. Skied em in everything from big, steep couloirs with 14” of fresh, to mellow dad pow, to big steep couloirs on boilerplate. They do just fine in just about everything.


If I’m headed out the door to just have fun/ski with the dog/jump off shit I’m on Ghost Trains, otherwise I’m on ski blades.

And yes, the Moment Voyager is a great blade binding

I've got a few from 19/20 leftover if you're interested in those, no 194's left though.

Also pretty sure I have the last 188 from this year on display in the showroom if you'd rather have the slightly beefier core.

This be all the leftover stuff, additional things will be added periodically. Don't have any leftover 19/20 Franks but have plenty of this years, if they last long enough they might go on sale.

The Commander 98 and 108 went through a heavy redesign between 19/20 and 20/21, no changes [other than graphic] between 20/21 and 21/22.
