sdramOkay thanks. I'm a little bit nervous that the 184s will be too much ski for me... But I am looking and wanting to charge harder. Should I just pull the trigger on the 184s or will the 179 give me enough of what I need to feel confident to ski bigger? ... Sorry for all the questions, so conflicted... Fwiw, my 177 Prodigy 2.0s feel super comfy to maneuver and get jibby, but not comfy to go fast through chop or landing drops.
Non_State_ActorThe Moments will measure true to indicated length, the factions likely measure short so the actual difference may be closer to 4cm instead of 2.
-eREKTion-Not exactly, Moment measures material length and they’re always ~1.5cm shorter once pressed. I could be totally wrong on this but my Bibby’s are like 183-ish and Deathwish 188-ish.
There are two common ways to 'measure' skis, material length
(most companies) and straight tape pull (ON3P and a few others I can't think of).
Material length is the length of the base material prior to pressing the skis, while straight tape pull is measuring from the tip to the tail after production, without following the curvature of the ski. Picture attached. If you straight tape pull a Moment ski, it will come out to 1.5-2cm shorter than the material length.
PartyBullshiit@hot.pocket is the demo fleet up and running? Countach 182 available?
Shooting for end of the month, Countach will be on the fleet.
