Saw the email. Is the Ghost Train coming back? I bought an extra pair off Skiburger when you discontinued them, but CO gets so few days worthy of that ski, they get very little usage. If so, will there be a shorter version available, like my 168's?

Alright Moment experts, I need some persuasion.

Stuck between the Meridian in a 181 or either Deathwish in a 179. Here's the thing, I've free'd the heel. I know the old heads stick their noses up at the idea of full rocker for a tele setup, but on alpine I preferred the feel of a low full rocker ski, such as the Hoji and Majesty Lumberjack. Not too sure how it will convert over to granola skiing. I see there is a positive review on the Meridian from a tele guy.

I want a ski that will be nimble and easy to pivot / maneuver in the trees that will float in the softies. Daily driver Jay Peak type of ski, hitting a little bit of everything around the mountain once the snow fills in. Ability to plow through crud is high on the priority list. I like damp dead feeling skis, not lively energetic skis.

I have a pair of Season Aero's that I will likely be converting over for early season/ icy days. I will likely add a touring / lighter weight pow specific ski to the quiver in the future.

Annual gushy post. I bought 2014 Ghost Trains off Facebook three years ago, and they continue to make me laugh every time I take them out. The Deathwish and Deathwish Tour make me really happy 99% of the time, but for those stupid deep days, I've never found anything as fun and silly as Ghost Trains. They're so fat, so nimble, and they just feel so intuitive. I love these damn skis so much, and hope they make it back in a limited release so more folks get to try them!

Sounds like it's a better version of the Exit World (or I guess it's more like the Exit World was a worse version of the Ghost Train), which was great when it was perfectly matched to its conditions but a bit too light and squirrely for its own good most of the time. I love my Chipotle Bananas, and I'll have to keep an eye open if a random pair of Ghost Trains pop up for sale anywhere.

Exit World was a touring version Ghost Train for a few seasons, a touch slimmer and lighter, so stands to reason they would be a bit too light for hard charging.

The Exit Worlds were insanely fun on soft/deep days but really, really suffered in the variable conditions I found most of the time touring in the Sierras. Would have loved to have kept them, but I wasn't touring in fresh snow often enough to justify their existence. In Moment's defense they were perfectly up from about what the Exit Worlds were, and weren't, built for. I had hoped my being on the lighter side (165lbs) would make up for the ski's lack of "charginess," but it just wasn't meant to be.

I got the 2013 Ghost Trains off Ski Burger and liked them so much that I also got the last pair, since they're "discontinued". I absolutely hate them on groomers, but they're not made for that! They're the most fun ski in slushy snow, and especially in powder. They only see a few days a year because CO rarely grants that deep of pow skiing, so I'm sure I'll still have the unmounted pair 10 years from now haha

Think I might've seen you ripping the CBs this weekend at mammoth and parked my whitewalkers next to your skis at the bottom of The Mill yesterday haha. Really pushing me to buy a pair for sure

Alright Moment fans, I need to replace my beat park skis that I've realized are a bit short after breaking in over a few seasons (Prodigy 2 184s) My daily driver for the past couple years have been Commander 108 188s Debating between Wildcat 101 and DW 104 for lower tide playful/park spot in my quiver (both would be 190s).

Leaning Wildcat over DW just to have some more differentiation with the C108 as I heard the DW104 is a bit chargier and heavier, the edge hold on the DW for ripping groomers intrigues me though (have some experience with triple camber on the DW tour).

anyone have thoughts on this? Would probably be happy on both but always fun to nerd out and get opinions

Wildcat 101 is waaay more apt to park skiing than the Deathwish 104. If you're planning on spending any amount of time lapping the park, I'd go WC.

@hot.pocket just my usual semi-regular request for a 92mm underfoot Wildcat, seeing as us Euro's have got barely any snow, thought it could be the time to ask... still taking my WC101 in 2 weeks though

Took the bibbys out for the first time, killer ski.

powder was nothing and was real fun on the chopped up stuff. Definitely recommend it for a deep day ski

I always see people talking about the big mountain skis in this thread but never the park ski. So I am here to give the Frankenski some love. I picked up a used pair on a screamin deal from @Redeem last summer and have been riding them in the park for the past couple weeks. So light for a ski measuring 182, and so much energy in the ski that you can feel. I am a triple camber believer now, it feels like it has improved my edge control, specifically switch, a ton. Looking forward to the day I can afford to add a Wildcat 108 to my quiver as the all mountain ski

That’s really funny. I have a cat 108 and have been looking to add something a little less charge heavy like the frankenski. Seems like it’s tons of fun without needing to sent it full scream down the mountain. Plus triple camber. I ski a lot of east coast so the size was very attractive.

after chatting with the moment peeps they recommended the deathwish 104 over the frankenski since I’m like maybe 10% park at this point if I’m being honest with myself.

I have actually been using them as a resort ski for most of the season too and they rip around. Super responsive and easy to maneuver

@hot.pocket in the past the 196 version of the Bibby was really different from the 190. If I remember correct different tip and tail shape / taper? How is that with the Wildcat? It appears to be the same shape / ski just bigger with larger turn radius? Taper etc the same?

In the past we had a Bibby 192, which was more powder focused. This version only lasted 1-2 seasons. We also had the Bibby Special / Governor 196, which was a very different shape with lots of taper and a flatter tail.

The Wildcat 196 is just a bigger version of the current Wildcat 190, with all the design characteristics present. Usual stuff with scaling length, the ski will be a touch stiffer, heavier, and have a longer turn radius. All other stats remain consistent in the Wildcat lineup.
