Dude I did some laps with on the Gem Lake chair at Big White in 2017. I think you were wearing SAGA and worked at the hotel or restaurant there. I lost ya on the way to another lift when I stopped to take a leak and found a sign that said "Narnia".

Ashley from the straightbrook quad chair at Gore Feb 2008. Well actually you didn't tell me her name so I call you Ashley. Anyway we didn't say much, or actually anything, but when I stared at you I felt like we really connected. You tried to play it off and ski away. I followed you but this stupid fucking kook snowboard ran into me while trying to falling leaf and took me out. You skied away and I realized I had never asked you where we were skiing to. I went to text or call but realized I didn't have your number. I looked around the lift lines and slopes for you but never saw you. Sometimes on warm ish sunny feb days I hang out at the base of that chair, ask the lifties if they've seen you, and wait hoping that you'll ski up and we can take another chairlift toward our future. I've missed you a lot, I hope you've missed me. I've written you some letters. I'll have to give them to you later of course because I don't know what your address is. Btw, if you see this what's your address? Anyway things are fine here. My mom is giving me a bunch of shit sometimes because I didn't take the trash out or mow the lawn but I was busy, god. I can't wait to show you our cat Max. I got him at the shelter for us. But yeah I hope all is well. It would be so great to catch up and pick up like nothing ever happened. Miss you!

I met an older traveler named Mike with K2 skis with tons of stickers to cover the ugly graphics. He was in town for a week. He drove an rv with his dog and spent the whole season hitting different ski areas. He was a snowmaker and had a little cabin in the woods in Michigan. We didnt ski much together but would meet at the lift to ride up together. We did that for like 2 hours one warm day in March. Safe travels dude

Screen fades, Epilogue, Time rewinds back to that fateful day. Ashley, as she sped off on the run, took multiple looks back hoping to catch a glimpse of you catching up to accompany her down the run. However, no one followed. She headed home that day on a lonely drive, downtrotten by the missed opportunity of what could have been. She arrives back home to help her mother with the nightly routine, Anne's so frail now that Ashley need to be always by her side every night. Tonight, she wasn't by her bed nor on the couch watching TV. She was found lying down two feet from where Ashley entered. The doctors say it was a stroke and Anne will need to be admitted to the hospital for at least a month for treatment. Ashley never left her mother's side except for work and occasional grocery trip. During her time in the hospital, she thought a lot about him, why he didn't pursue her, why she couldn't find him on social media. She thought they really connected on a personal level. None of her close friends knew him, must be an outsider. As the last days of the winter fades away, Ashley finally finds time for one last lap at Gore. The liftie, immediately recognizing the old patron of the mountain, told her of a depressed but hopeful man named theabortionator was desperately trying to find her. Could it be him? "When's the last time you saw him?". A month ago said the liftie, "you didn't hear the news?". "No", said Ashley, barely holding back her nervous exciement, "What happened to him?". The liftie sighed, tilted his head toward the sky as if damning God himself, and told Ashley the truth: "He came down with ligma"

Met this legend at Hood multiple summers, Dude was probably 70+ from the midwest lived in a mini van. Skiied on the spring pass ate oatmeal and drank coffee in the lodge every morning didn't miss any days. His health was deteriorating but I remember seeing him 3 years in a row still getting it.

This dude I sat with on the chairlift and I started practicing grabs. Asked me if I skied through the park already. I hadn’t, and wasn’t too sure how it was because I’ve never skied in that resort before. So he said he could guinea pig it. He also showed me a few different grabs on the chairlift. Real nice guy.

I just want to help these two skiers reconnect. Never had the pleasure of skiing Shasta but the more I read the more I know I'm missing out.

I bet the dude has been kicking himself. She drove a sedan with four pairs of skis on the roof! Four pairs of skis!

i met a dude at hill once and never saw him again. really nice guy. he had some old blends and a windjacket with 69 on his back, i think it was custom.
got to find out he died in a carcrash this winter.

bfish, skied with him in 2016 at timberline in the summer, we went into HCSC's destroyed lap park and tried to hit a crappy jump. I was on jskis cats in space.

Also, these two dudes I saw at bridger bowl while I was there to check out MSU. I was going for my first backflip in 2 years and they were lapping the park so they gave me some hype. One kind of looked like tanner hall

I'm guessing this is Dale. I see him there every spring pass and talk to him in the lodge. He skis for free because of his age (I'm guessing he's over 80 now) and has been coming up there for years. He said his health wasn't so great any more so he may not make it back out next season.

Oh shit, there are so many I lost track.

I guided a team of Norwegians for a day and had a fucking black at whitewater. I still have their contact numbers, but I dont remember any names. Met a rad snowboarder girl that could fucking send it...
Just last year, there are about 20 random people I had amazing days and lost contact. However I met 2 that we exchange e-mails 2-3 times a summer.

Legendary Dad that I met while riding red chair at Magic towards the end of the day on that legendary 3ft pow day back in March. I remember him being pumped that the wife and kids went in for the day so he could finally ski some real shit. He proceeded to fucking fly down red line hitting every tranny and cliff in sight. Then skied the bumps on slide of hans like a madman. Dude had to be 60+

Rode up the lift once at snowbird with some dude in a big purple ski suit named Leo. I told him I was a doctor just to fuck with him and he laughed and asked me what we do with people that have Anal Fissure. I told him no one actually has anal fissure, that's not a real thing, then he got real silent before saying "some people I know have it...." The rest of the ride up was real awkward. Wherever you are Leo, I hope you went to a real doctor to diagnose for that constant butthurt you experience.

At mt hutt (nz) shared a doob with 3 American's at the viewpoint off of virgin mile. Had an amazing shred with them afterwards but we suddenly split and didnt see then again! It was one skier guy a skier girl and a snowboarder guy. The skier guy had these fully rockered skies which were gnarly and all of them fking shreeeeddd it was amazing! Hope we could meet again before the season ends :00!

At CU years ago I went up to Vail on a pow day with some random kid. When I picked him up he still reeked of booze and had a .38 bullet hole in his ski from when his buddies got blackout drunk with their handgun. I took him to McDonalds to get him some food and had to keep the windows cracked the whole way up I-70. The kid could rip though and we smoked and rocked the Blue Sky Basin all day. Hopefully he got some new friends or didnt do something stupid with his life.
