What would you do if you couldn't ski

got told by my parents that because im in school that i probably can't ski for the rest of the season which is shit because it like an addiction to me.
what would you all do if you got told you can't ski?

Wither away and die..... Just kidding. In my case since Ive been out of school for years so my job would be a limiting factor.I still watch tons of videos and read about skiing waiting for winter to return. Im doing summer sports to keep me going.

Tell your parents that if you pull a 3.0 you can ski again (start low so you don't agree on a 4.0)

If I was disabled or something fucked up like that and couldn't ski ever again... I'd down a liter of Jameson, smoke a spliff and blow my brains out with a glock.

Oh wow thanks Captain Obvious. Guess what, 0 - 100% also corresponds to 4.0 scale, it was to my knowledge that high schools don't use 4.0 scale but rather the grade system.

When there is a will, there is a way.

In college, I had Blue Mountain that was about an hour away. I would get the 5x7 pass for cheap and try to organize rides with other students at my school. 1st year didnt work out well; so I was urban skiing 1 day a week. 2nd year, I found someone who wanted to ride all the time and we went 2 or 3 times a week at night. 3rd year I bought a car and went 5x a week when permitted.

I got a job that is seasonal, so I work in the spring, summer and fall; then take the whole winter off and live on my savings so ski every day. Sometimes you will have to cut back on skiing due to life's demands, but there is always time for skiing.

If it was up to injury, I would take up seat skiing. Anything to get powder in my face and fly down the mountain. If I could still walk, I would coach and teach and reminisce of the "good ol'days"

There are a lot of people who have real issues and struggle with the thought of suicide everyday. You shouldnt joke about that.

If going to a far away ski hill is what is taking the time, use your summer to make some rails for your backyard, or get used to skiing urban. If there's night skiing near you, that makes it easy. Manage your time well, working on homework at lunch or free periods if you have them, or on the bus if you have a long bus ride. Dedicate Saturday or Sunday morning to completing any outstanding schoolwork, so you can ski on weekends without that hanging over your head. Bust your butt in the fall and spring when there is no skiing, so if your grades do dip it will average out. Find a way to prove to your parents you can do school and skiing- do up a (realistic) timetable or something.

It has been universally proven that physical activity not only contributes to a better quality of life, but helps academics, since it exercises the brain in different ways and maintains or improves mental health. It's hard to do well in school if you're depressed because you aren't getting the endorphins and exercise your brain needs. Hit your parents with that.

i thought astro turf would be the hardest but all i did was go into a hardware store and they had exactly what i wanted. hardest part about building a summer setup is probably building a sturdy PVC rail that doesn't need snow IMO, but even that is easy if you look at what other peoples look like.

I built a backyard thing out of pallets, a trampoline mat and some pipe that was in the shed and it didn’t work so i just ride my motorbike in summer
