Business schools by mountains

Bates, Middlebury, Bowdoin, Colby are all top-teir highly competitive colleges with econ programs. All relatively close to mountains. Middlebury has their own ski hill and is the hardest of the 4. Dartmouth has the Tuck School of Buisness. That is probably the best education you can get near skiing (but then again getting into Ivy's are hard af :/). Your dad wants you to go to school to learn and have fun, not just ski. Going to a highly competive school will consume allot of time from skiing but provide you with an education no one can take from you. If you want to go to school to ski, Montana state, U of U and Boulder have buisness majors. Colorado college has econ, imo that school is funky. Westminster in salt lake also has econ. University of British Columbia is a great school, 2 hours from whistler, also not tremendously difficult to get into. Canadian schools are much more rigorous tho. I just went through exactly what you are about to go through, I am going to school this coming year most likely majoring in econ. It was a hard decision balancing out skiing and a strong education. I've actually heard that BYU has a stellar business school.

Over here in WA state you got UW and WWU. Both are killer schools for business. I went to WWU and you got baker an hour drive and stevens is 2 hrs. UW has aplental and stevens both about an hour out.

Community college OP. For the first 2 years you'll save Dad $ plus get smaller class sizes and more 1 on 1 attention with your professors. Same exact classes as the 4 years and sometimes even the same exact instructor. Way more of them that are close to the mountains too. Central Oregon CC for example is very close to Mt. Bachelor.

Sauder School of Business at UBC is very reputable and near some of the best skiing in North America (Whistler)

It's also in Vancouver which is awesome but a very expensive city in which to live. On the plus side Grouse Mountain is a short busride away for afternoons, nights or weekend days when Whistler is too far.

Yeah expensive city to live in, but even with international tiution fees you're paying about half the tuition than you would for one of USA's top business schools (or even mediocre business schools).

SLC

I graduated from the business school from the U and loved it! I also had friends that pursued business degrees at Westminster and liked that too. Just depends on if you want larger or smaller classroom size. Both have great MBA programs as well, and if you're tryin to do it cheap you can go to SLCC for the first two years then transfer. Had plenty of friends go about school that way. Let me know if you have any questions.

Honestly this. Really wish I had just done this when I was starting out. Tons of CC's are close to mountains, you'll have more money for skiing, and honestly tons of classes you will learn more at the CC because you arent in some shithole 300 person class.
