Wet vs. Nomad 95

Anyone here have experience with these skis and might be able to help me out? Im gonna be riding Hood next season and am torn between the two.

Can’t go wrong either way imo. Depends on what you want in a Ski. If you’re going for a rockered and soft ski get the wet. Same with camber for the nomad. The nomad is a bit stiffer but both can pretty much hold their own on whatever you throw at them. Both are durable as well but Vishnu makes some absolute bombproof skis. I was stuck making the same decision between the wife (wide*) [leaving typo for joke lower in thread] and the nomad 105 and I went with the wide. Hope this kinda helped

I've got the Nomad 95 and they're by far one of the most fun skis I've had. I've ridden Punx, Domains and Filthies, but I think these skis are my favourite. Not too soft, but playful enough that you can take them anywhere on the mountain/park. Also found the 95 was plenty for the type of skiing I was doing (mostly park with a few mountain trips) and with some fresh snow I wasn't sinking at all. They're a bit loose on bigger jumps but once you get used to it they're all good. Can't say anything about the Wets but 100% recommend the Nomads.

wet seems a bit more proper made. haven't tried them, but icelantic went down in durability when they changed the factory to china. tried the (2016?) da'nollie, wich is the same as the nomad 95 and they felt sqirly. over buttery as well.

Icelantic has always been and remains built by Never Summer in Denver. Maybe you are thinking of someone else?

I might. Believed it was them tho, since i know a guy that used to ride from them. Atleast he meant that the quality got worse.

I really cannot comment on quality but they are still 100% made in Denver by Never Summer. If their quality has dropped, it hasn't been due to a factory change.

To whoever thinks Icelantic dropped in quality, Id disagree. Seemed pretty consistent from my pair 2015 da Nollies to 2017 sknys and 2018 Nomad 105 all had relatively same durability in pretty much each aspect from what I've seen. My da nollies were surprisingly still pretty untouched besides the missing edge after 80ish days of rails and ~20 days of mountain skiing
