Personal opinion: Summer setup edits with music are the corniest shit ever in skiing. Summer setups are for learning and perfecting ugly ass swap tricks. It’s the skier equivalent of practicing kick flips on flat ground for hours on end. I think I’ve seen maybe 1 or 2 summer setup edits with music that I liked a lot but they were just awesome edits to begin with.

Choosing edit songs is hard and I’ve fucked up my share of edits with bad music. But it’s not as easy as just asking strangers, I feel like the most important thing about a song is that it matches your style so asking others is fairly pointless unless they are also very familiar with your skiing. I’d say ask some friends who you ski with.

Also, no one wants to give good edit songs cause we all want to use them ourselves if we find them.

As long as its not shitty mumble rap or sail its not that important imo. I mute so many edits becauee it's the most god awful "rap". Othwrwise it doesnt matter much if rhe riding is good. A good song is dope, but dont overthink it.

Rules? There's no rules of how to make an edit. And I've seen a bunch of edits ruined by music.
OP, just make an edit that you like, with a song that you like, or with no song if you prefer. And good chances are if you like it, someone else will like it too

That’s because the person didn’t know how to put in music properly and maybe just made the music to loud or not fitting at the right moments. Music helps build the intensity of the edit and you almost never see a professional edit without music. Like, for example when I make a skate edit I like to build up the music right before a big trick.
