Light freeride - powder bindings for Icelantic Nomad 115's

I have the Aaattack 13's on my all mountain / big mountain skis.

I was thinking of getting the Aaattack 12's for my powder / free-ride skis to shave off a little bit of weight.

I usually have my DIN at 8.5

Ramp angle and construction are different. Try to find the older attack 13 not the attack2 13 GW, they're like 400g lighter. Or go with the older attack 11 which is like 1kg lighter.

Ok thanks, I guess I'd have to order brakes separately as though don't seem to include brakes wide enough for a 115?

110 would likely fit. Also just rereading my post, I'm not advocating you buy either the attack 11 or 12.

The Attack 12 is the same as the Attack 13. Pretty sure they're just different color schemes with the 12 being marketed to women. I heard this from a Tyrolia rep and I have both and cannot tell the difference. You won't save any weight but go for it if you can save money with the 12.

Any good alternatives? The 11 doesn't seem like it's ideal for aggressive skiing and not as durable as the 12 or 13... The 12 and 13 seem like the weigh exactly the same according to Tyrolia's website.

I believe that link is for the 16/17 Attack 13 and not the Attack2 13 GW which is significantly lighter. I'm not going to dig too hard right now to find the weight difference between the two. Perhaps call/email the shop to verify?

What are your other options and their weights?

Yeah I think the 12 and 13 are the same but the 11 might not be as durable of a binding. Best thing to do is forget about the weight when you are shopping for downhill bindings. IMO pretty much the Tyrolia Attack or the STH or Warden are pretty much the way to go so just buy whatever is the best deal unless you are an FKS or Pivots fanboy.

The older one is lighter. The Attack2 has a different toepiece and a sliding? AFD, anyway the afd is different and the whole thing is heavier. I'll try to find the weight difference, I know I've posted it before and it took a lot of research to find the number originally.

If you have significant amounts of money to spend on bindings the Atomic/Salomon shift is quite light and by most accounts is a very fine alpine binding that rides similarly to the STH and has extra features.

Pivots 12-14 work fine in pow
Attack 13 would be fine,the weight you might save on the 11-12 isn’t a very noticeable difference
Also the 110 would fit the 115

Why would they have changed the attack bindings to make them heavier? I was more than happy with my current atttack 13 bindings. Which would be harder to track down in Canada with the Attack 2

I think mainly it had to do with making the binding compatible with multiple boot norms, but it may have addressed durability or production costs, who knows?
