Sorry, I searchbarred trying to find an old thread but after clicking through pages and pages I was still on threads from 2017.

Got caught up going through old content on Vimeo and landed on this segment from 2008, and holy shit was it amazing. Brings back such good memories from some of my favourite years of skiing, and the soundtrack brought me right back to high school haha.

Wallisch's landings so on point... that zero spin... I still remember watching this premiere at UVM and the whole audience went nuts on that shot.

It's been crazy to see the slow 'decline' in Wallisch in the ski world and the rise of some of the younger guys, but damn did he ever leave a mark.

I just re-watched refresh this morning and god damn the nostalgia was running high. It really gets me going to see all the OGs ripping it together in one movie; traveling and shredding together like they're all close friends. Skiing is not what it once was...for better or worse I'm not sure haha

Even though B&E and Good Company and all of the other independent projects have been cool, I miss the days when all the best skiers were featured in one movie. Level 1 just hasn’t been the same since.

Yea they did. For a while it seemed they put out the best content. Whatever happened, didn't they start to put out solely surfing flicks?

that was 04...which also had Yearbook. 05 was my senior year in HS: Teddybear Crisis, War, Shanghai Six, Tangerine Dream, truly an awesome time in skiing.

I saw Josh Stack in Whistler a few years ago while we were both getting our boots worked on and he said Twenty was the last one they were doing for some reason. Huge blower.

Ah my mistake I thought it was skiing in 04, footy release in 05. That was many moons ago!

But ya man those are the films that really got me into skiing, as well as sculpted my musical taste! I’m currently trying to dig up the Volume Video mag series. I remember watching that with my older cousin when I was like 12.

Bummer for sure. I remember when I got my hands on propaganda and happy dayz as a tot in middle school. I'd watch those movies non stop and spend hours watching the special features.

Watched this segment yesterday and didn't remember it was that good. The music, the landings, the clothes, and of course the tricks, it's just too good. And with Wallisch segment right after too

I don't think wallisch has declined so much rather than he's realized he doesn't need to destroy his body competing at the highest levels. He can finally make good money without that.

I'm very interested in how long, generally, we can ski park at a high level. At what age will dubs become hard? When will I not be able to 450 out of a rails? Many of our favorite pros are heading into their 30's, I'm very interested in how they 'decline'

Sadly the video was taken down but if anybody can remember the crazy French indie song that went with this edit, it’s been stuck in my head all day. The chick is screaming in French as henrik closes out the segment with a switch 3 I think?
