Is Newwave dead

I feel like newwave has reached a peak now. I dont think it will go away completly but newave used to be so cool, now all the newwave pros struggle to make money, back in the day it seemed like way more newwave edits were made. I hear people in the industry saying newwave skiing will be less popular than waterskiing. Discuss

I don’t know, Im getting pretty bored of it at this point, dont get me wrong some of the edits are still fly, but I feel like the style youre talking about is just kind of a joke between the people who ride like that, give it another year and it’ll be handswang opp handswang, ditching rails completely and shit in the edits, nothing against it, I honestly dont fuck with the other option either, rich white boys pretending to be “gangsta” or whatever is so damn wack, if I hear anyone else talking about how their cork 5 blunt was “hood as fuck” ill lose it. Real 1s are doing it in the streets right now, that’s the shit I like to watch, Vishnu does it right, HG does it right, I want more shit like that, raw dudes gettin it at some crusty spots

Literally the only reason new wave is dying is because people simplify it. Same thing with afterbang. It's not about doing a 360 and landing with after bang cuz everyone can do that. It's about Doing a 540 with a blunt grab landing all the way at the bottom of the landing and landing with afterbang. Same thing with new wave. Just because ur "new wave" doesn't mean you have some shit excuse to only be doing pathetic little nose butters over the knuckle of the jump going 2 mph catching 2" of air. It's all about getting super deep into the nose butter flying off of the knuckle and swerving that shit around and landing with your hands going in the direction of your spin ending.
