Replying to Anyone Still Wakeskiing?
I've sifted through past threads and wasn't sure if anyone still does this. Finally moved back to PA to take advantage of my parents lakehouse. I have a pair of Stereos that I have a couple of goes on. Mostly just jumping the wake right now. Trying switch at lower speeds and such.
What speed do you ride at? I am at 22.5 mph. Just going with what my brother-in-law wakeboards at
Boat is an Air Natique, so plenty of wake to flip on a wakeboard in his case.
Switch feels sketchy, lower speeds (16-18 mph) I feel like I bog down in the water too much, but 22.5 feels too fast.
I really want to try some spins but the potential to dip my tails switch is holding me back. Is it best to ski switch with one hand on the rope and staggering my feet like with snow skiing? Or two hands trying to turn your head?
Anyone try wakeskiing with a wakesurf wave? Plan to attempt it this afternoon, probably won't be a ton of fun but may as well give it a go. I like wakeboarding and wakesurfing, but I am never as comfortable on a board as I am on skis.
