Replying to 2014 Chronic Mounting

Just got some 2014 Line Chronics as backup skis for this summer cuz my current skis are starting to delam and I dont know if they’ll last the windells season. My question is, the “center” line on the chronics looks way far back from center, would it mess with how the skis ride to mount true center or should I stick with the marked point? Also does anyone know if there are differences between the 2014 and 2017 chrons? They seem stiffer and look a little different but all the info online has them as the same
