I'm currently looking for a new all mountain/do it all ski for next season.
Until recently the kartel 108 was going to be my pick however I remembered the meridian 107.
What would be your pick and why? Differences between the skis?

tcurleMeridian is full rocker with aspen/ash and kartel has camber and is bamboo, so that's the main difference.

powpatrolThanks :)
Is bamboo (generally) a softer wood than aspen or ash?
hot.pocketHaving never flexed the Kartel, I'd lean towards the Meridian being stiffer due to the ash stringers. If you were to build the exact same ski, one with our Aspen / Ash combo and one with full bamboo, the bamboo ski will be slightly softer.
Keep in mind that Moment and ON3P build their skis slightly differently, with different composite layers and such, so a direct wood to wood comparison isn't always a straight forward answer when it comes to flex. As Tyler stated, the main difference between the two will be the full rocker of the Meridian vs the rocker camber rocker of the Kartel.
Additionally, we (info@momentskis.com), along with ON3P (info@on3pskis.com), would be more than happy to answer any questions you have regarding our respective models.
