Need new skis, Armada Arv 106 or Kartel 108

Hi, my name is kyle. I ski in the front range rockies in Colorado 50/50 backcountry and inbounds. I'm a hard charging skier but I like jibbing around the mountain. Im 6,0 160lbs and im looking to run possibly Marker dukes or marker kingpins. Currently Im looking at Armada Arv 106 and on3p Kartel 108

arvs would be lighter but the on3ps would suit you better for a chargyer ski. arvs would be a nice backcountry jib ski. Just dont get dukes, kingpins all the way!

Thanks! I was wondering if the kingpins would offer enough control over frames.

Forget Kingpins the toe pins shear off. Get the Shift next year. Skis the same as an STH apparently

I don't know if the ARV 106 are very "chargey" the 96 aren't.
Nomad 105? Big Horn 106? Hoji? Uptrack Col?
I guess if you're truly doing 50/50 only you can choose where you want to fall on the weight vs. charging capability.

yes absolutly, tons of pros use kingpins and huck fat cliffs. frames blow dude the only reason i have them on my hellbents is because it adds stiffnes underfoot lol

I tried the ARVs and I hated them, but I love my kartels. Arvs would be fun in the park but they can't charge for shit

While kartels would definitely be chargier, a good skier can do anything with any ski.

Lol ok... But certain skis are better than others.. especially at certain things....

I agree I'm just saying I've seen people charge on ARVs before, I wouldn't call em shit at it, maybe second to kartels but all I know is I've made my arvs flop and wiggle but they made it down.
