Vishnu wide vs wet dilemma

I know this is about the millionth “which ski should I get” post but I really can’t decide on this. I currently have a pair of armada ar7s and I enjoy them but I am looking for something a little more flexy and playful. I am also in the market for a wider ski for the few powder days I do ski.

That being said I have two choices

1. Get the Vishnu wides (106 underfoot). Have a wider ski for powder that may not perform as well as a true powder ski but still have something playful and keep the ar7s for Park only days. This involves spending $620 dollars on the skis and 200+ for bindings.

2. Get the wets (88). Have a great park ski that’s playful. Only spend 420 on the skis because I’ll just put the pivots that are currently on my ar7s on there. Save buying a powder ski for later and get one that is more suited for strictly powder.

I’m also open to other ski suggestions too

Hmm maybe find some used powder skis and get the wets?

More depends on where you ski, but I went with the wides. They’re a bit stiffer than the wets but still it stuff by any means.

the wets actually perform pretty well in pow because of how much rocker they have. I skied at brighton this year and I only needed to bring out my pow skis occasionally, pretty much just when the snow was choppy

I mean I think they’ll be pretty dope just bc I’m comin from the blends. Fat park skis have always been my preference, I was just going for more durability and rocker with the wides.

You can get good bindings for $130 dude (Attack 13s), you only want Pivots. Maybe save money by buying Attack 13s for the Wides and then keep the Armadas for park/beater skis?
